It
all begins with your call or e-mail. Then we create an idea and
vision to provide a clear intent. Tell us your thoughts such as
what is prompting you into action. We'll schedule a site visit
and may also refer you to resources or examples to review in preparation
for the meeting. This begins a process (whether new work or remodeling)
that will eventually lead to a successful design solution that
we will then construct.
DESIGN PROCESS
STEP 1 INITIAL MEETING #1
At the site visit we want to learn about you, and what you believe
to be the project. We'll also touch on:
- PROJECT OVERVIEW
It's important to list the issues of importance by priority
in order to focus on solutions.
- BUDGET & COST DISCUSSION
We'll talk about costs early in order to design and build and
project that fits a realistic budget.
- DESIGN BUILD PROCESS
We'll talk about the costs and schedule to prepare a design
in preparation for construction.
STEP 2 SIGN DESIGN CONTRACT
At this point we execute a design agreement containing the Scope
and cost of the Work provided. If needed, an additional meeting
is schedule..
STEP 3 MEETING #2 DESIGN REVIEW
After site observations and the completion of schematic drawings,
we will have our first meeting to review design alternatives
STEP 4 MEETING #3 DESIGN MODIFICATIONS & DETAILS MEETING
Once we have thought & discussed the viable design options,
we will make modifications while also planning the unique details
of the project.
STEP 5 MEETING #4 PRELIMINARY DESIGN COST ESTIMATE
At this stage we have sketched ideas that are now approved by
the client. At this point, we create an estimate detailing the
project. The scope of the project is listed with actual costs
of the job.
STEP 6 MEETING #5 CONTRACT & DRAWING
The material selections and estimate are completed and placed
in a Construction Contract agreement which outlines the Scope
of Work and relies on the Schematic Drawings.
STEP 7 MEETING #6 PRECONSTRUCTION
